NDTA has several types of courses available for education of family members and professionals. Please see course types and descriptions below.
NDTA Seminars
NDTA Seminars are NDTA organized and sponsored workshops
taught by NDTA instructors. Courses include, but are not limited to
such topics as:
- Introduction to NDT Theory and Practice
- Problem Solving Treatment Applications using the NDT Approach
- Lower Extremity Orthotics with the Neurologic Client
- Pediatric Gait Assessment and Treatment
- Upper Extremity Management in the Child with Cerebral Palsy and/or the Adult with CVA or Head Trauma

NDT/Bobath Approved Certificate Courses APP Requirements to take an NDT/Bobath Approved Course
- Professional license in the state of residence.
- Current malpractice insurance.
- At least one year’s post graduate experience and current practice treating either children with cerebral palsy or adults with hemiplegia.
NDTA is the governing organization that credentials all of the
instructors who teach the NDT/Bobath Certificate Courses. Instructors are
constantly updating clinical reasoning and practical methods that are
applicable to the health care environment we all work in today. The
intent of the instructors who conduct NDTA approved courses is to provide
the participants with state of the art education that result in many new
skills they can use immediately to influence their patient's potential
for recovery.
- How to HOST an NDTA/Bobath Approved Certificate Course at Your Facility
- NDT/Bobath Certificate Course in the Management and Treatment
of Adults with Hemiplegia, NDTA, Inc. Approved Course focuses on
evaluation and treatment of adults who have hemiplegia or other upper
motor neuron lesions.

- NDT/Bobath Certificate Course in the Management
and Treatment of Children with Cerebral Palsy and Other Neuromotor Disorders, NDTA, Inc. Approved Course
focuses on evaluation and treatment of children who have cerebral palsy
and other movement disorders. Understanding processes involved in
typical and atypical sensori-motor development is a critical emphasis
in the pediatric course.

- NDT/Bobath Approved Advanced Courses are available to clinicians
who have a minimum of one year experience following the successful
completion of the respective certificate course.
