Mary Rose Franjoine, PT, DPT, MS, PCS, is an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy program at Daemen College and has 25 years of clinical experience in pediatric rehabilitation and adult neuro-rehabilitation. Her teaching responsibilities include courses in pediatrics, adult neuro-rehabilitation, orthotics, prosthetics, cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation in the entry-level and transitional DPT programs, as well as the post-professional MS program. Mary Rose is certified by ABPTS as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist and is also certified by the Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association as a Physical Therapy Instructor and Coordinator Instructor. She has presented numerous continuing education courses in the southern and eastern United States. Her research line of inquiry in the area of pediatric balance has led to the development, standardization, and validation of the Pediatric Balance Scale (PBS). Her research has been presented at national and international conferences and has been published in professional journals.Mary Rose has been a member of NDTA for more than 20 years and has been actively involved with the Theory committee and the Publications committee.
