- How do I Re-certify?
Track your progress
NDT Certified therapists must first log into their NDTA membership account to upload their course information and contact hours into their CEU Bank for re-certification. The CEU Bank link is located on your "My Account" page. Visit your "My Account" page by clicking the link at the top of the website. Input all requested course information and save. The CEU Bank is accessible 24 hours a day. Your course hours must be recorded in the CEU Bank for re-certification.
Is NDTA Membership Required?
Yes, as of December 1, 2011 active NDTA membership is required. Those therapists that are already in the program as a non-member or have an inactive membership will be required to have active NDTA membership at the FIRST RE-CERTIFICATION RENEWAL. This change to the program was made in response to the need for better communication between the association and all of the NDT Certified therapists needing continuing education and general program information.
How long is the NDT Certification valid and what is required for re-certification?
NDT Certification is valid for 3 years from the date of acceptance into the program. Re-certification requires 20 contact hours of continuing education in the 3 year time period. The 20 hours, must include a minimum of 8 hours of NDT training which can include:
- ANY NDTA sponsored education including conferences, seminars and certificate courses.
- ANY Non-NDTA sponsored NDT courses taught by an active NDTA Instructor.
- Hours must be obtained in area of certification (adult or pediatrics)
- 1 hour of instruction = 1 CEU
The remaining 12 hours can be completed in profession-related courses. They do not need be NDT related.
Fees
Re-certification dues are $150 for active NDTA members. Active NDTA Membership is required throughout your certification. A lapse in membership will cause a lapse in NDT Certification. The 3 year time frame does not change with early renewal.
