May 28 thru June 1 was a landmark event for the Neuro-Developmental Therapy Association. The NDTA National Conference in Anaheim, California, held the first ever “Baby Conference.” The official title was NDT: Foundation of Treatment for Babies during the First Year of Life: Perspectives in Research & Therapeutic Intervention. It was all about babies from the NICU to Natural Environments. We learned about vision, oral-motor, feeding, visual play, and respiratory functions, as well as sensory issues, torticollis, distal hand function. We were even treated to infant research.
