This 2-day course on NDT handling and sensory ideas for the pediatric client has been designed for pediatric therapists working with children having neuromotor difficulties. Content will focus on combining both didactic information and labs addressing assessment/evaluation skills with problem-solving; identifying functional limitations and impairments and sensory issues impacting function; and use of direct NDT handling intervention principles while incorporating current pediatric research. Core strength and postural control will be emphasis using specific hands-on strategies to improve functional mobility and postural stability with children. Participants will be assisted to improve their observational skills and direct handling skills while problem solving using NDT and sensory-motor techniques.
