DESCRIPTION

As pediatric therapists we encounter all types of children who have multiple system needs. Through NDT’s approach to systems analysis combined with knowledge about sensory systems we can more effectively plan our intervention. Every time we touch/handle a child we impact their sensory systems. In this intermediate level course designed for those who have completed a basic certification course clinical decision making will be utilized to plan interventions for different scenarios. Participants will be assisted to improve their observational skills and direct handling skills while problem solving using NDT and sensory-motor techniques. This course will incorporate handling labs, case analysis, problem-solving groups and discussion to further aid the integration of information.
