The purpose of this paper is to review the available literature on social integration, participation, life satisfaction, and psychosocial issues encountered and expressed by adults with CP. Databases searched included PubMed, CINAHL, Academic Search Premier, SPORT Discus and PsycINFO. Search terms used included "adults with cerebral palsy" "quality of life", "depression", "social integration", "social support", "work", "education", "loneliness", "friends", "friendships", "peer relationships", "sexuality", "sexual abuse", "participation", and "social participation". Article reference lists were also searched.
