The purpose of the NDTA Research Committee is the establishment and recognition of the NDT Practice Model – through research – as evidence-based practice.Committee representation is a balance of instructors, clinicians, and academicians with C/NDT; PT/OT/SLP members; and members representing both pediatrics and adults.

Initiatives and Task Forces:

  • Mini-Grant program: Temporarily unavailable - new and exciting things to come!
  • NDTA Research Foundation: Initiative with the NDTA Board of Directors toward fundraising for NDTATM Contemporary Practice Model large scale grants, e.g. PhD/post Doc studies such as a fidelity measure study and efficacy studies
  • Fidelity Measure Task Force: Working toward development of a measurement tool to objectify adherence to NDTATM Contemporary Practice Model when used or referred to in published studies, or for peer to peer self-study.
  • Posters program: For the NDTA annual National Conference
  • Examining The Evidence Articles:Articles update: Updating the NDTA website articles incorporating NDTATM Contemporary Practice Model articles intervention to 2014 - 2020 Articles with "supporting evidence" for NDTATM Contemporary Practice Model intervention, i.e. having some common practice components.
  • Outcome Measures working group: Suggestions for measuring outcomes of NDTATM Contemporary Practice Model intervention
  • NDTA website: Toward creation of a dedicated Research web page on ndta.org, inclusive of articles and clinically friendly outcome measures and design suggestions
  • NDTA research video/webinar: NDTATM Contemporary Practice Model example for use in certificate courses
  • Document outcomes from C/NDT courses: Considerations include therapist satisfaction, client outcomes (qualitative/quantitative), time involvement
  • Guest presenters: for informative Q & A sessions
