We are thrilled to announce the Call for Presentations for the NDTA 2027 Virtual Annual Conference, taking place September 21–25, 2027.

This year’s conference theme is “The CORE of NDT: Contemporary Principles and Practice.” As our field continues to evolve, the 2027 conference will provide an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the foundational principles of NDT while exploring how those principles inform contemporary, evidence-based clinical practice.

Why Your Contribution Matters

The 2027 Annual Conference is an opportunity to showcase the depth and breadth of expertise within the NDTA Instructor Group and share what you do best with the broader NDT community. As leaders, educators, clinicians, and researchers within the NDT community, your expertise helps connect foundational theory with innovative clinical application. We want this conference to be a reflection of the incredible work already happening across our Instructor Group and an opportunity to lift up your unique strengths, knowledge, and experience.

We are looking for presentations that revisit the core principles of NDT while challenging participants to consider how those principles can be applied in new, contemporary, and evidence-based ways.

We invite proposals that explore areas such as:

• Clinical Integration: How core NDT principles are driving patient outcomes in today’s complex clinical environments.
• Research & Theory: New findings that validate, expand, or challenge our understanding of NDT principles.
• Innovative Practice: Creative adaptations of NDT handling and therapeutic strategies for diverse populations and clinical settings.
• Teaching & Mentorship: Strategies for effectively communicating and applying core NDT principles with students, colleagues, and the next generation of practitioners.
• Contemporary Perspectives: Emerging issues, approaches, technologies, or perspectives that demonstrate how the core of NDT continues to evolve.

A New Conference Program Structure

Based on feedback from our attendees, the 2027 conference will feature a new program structure designed to maximize participation, learning, and continuing education opportunities.

Rather than offering multiple concurrent sessions, the program will feature varied blocks of content with no concurrent sessions. This approach is intended to allow attendees to participate in a greater percentage of the conference programming and maximize the number of CEUs they are able to claim.

The new session structure will generally include:

• Two hours of presentation content plus
• One hour of facilitated discussion and engagement

Presenters should consider how their content can support both the instructional portion of the session and a meaningful discussion period. We encourage interactive approaches that allow attendees to reflect, ask questions, apply concepts, and engage with presenters and fellow practitioners. Presentations can be submitted by a single instructor, a pair or small group of instructors, or an instructor and a non-instructor.

Submission Process

Your submission should include a detailed topic description, a draft session description, and which Core Principles they intend to focus on in the session. This is designed to be a starting point, and you will have several months to further develop the content.

Proposal Review Process

All submitted proposals will undergo a review process to be developed collaboratively with the NDTA Conference Planning Committee. The final review process and selection criteria will ensure that proposals are evaluated thoughtfully, consistently, and in alignment with the goals of the 2027 conference.
